Workshop participants will become familiar with a variety of online language learning models currently being offered around the country. Based on participant responses to a pre-workshop survey, the presenters will work with participants to help them analyze their context;identify design issues and determine appropriate models;consider which kind(s) of development may be best suited to their curriculum and time frame;discover how and where to increase their teaching proficiency in an entirely online environment. The workshop will also address the important factor of online social presence and community building. The morning session (9am-12pm) will be offered face-to-face and as a webinar on Adobe Connect. The afternoon session (1pm-4pm) will be face-to-face only. In the afternoon session, UT faculty, and IT designers will form work teams to advance projects at various stages. The goals of these teams will be to set up work plans and communicational structures to facilitate ongoing design and development. Workshop Files: Presentation Slides (Google) Handouts (Google)
