Summer Workshop | New Perspectives and Techniques for Teaching Spanish as a Heritage Language (SHL)

Heritage Spanish instructors of all levels (K-12, higher ed) are welcome to attend this series of mini-workshops led by faculty from Texas A&M, Texas A&M Commerce, Houston Baptist, UTRGV, UT Austin and Baylor.
Grammar and vocabulary
Language arts approach/metalinguistics
Starting a heritage Spanish program
Technology (including podcasting)
Open Educational Resources
There will also be a panel of students to talk about the impact of heritage classes on their education, and a poster session of graduate student research.
This workshop is organized by the Texas Coalition for Heritage Spanish (TeCHS).
Cost: $50 for faculty and teachers, $20 for graduate students (breakfast and lunch included on the first day, breakfast included on the second day).
